Most artworks about metamorphosis only focus on tangible objects’ shape-shifting and these transformations have no reason behind. A Better Me is a combination project which contains a series of illustrations and a visual diary. It expresses an intangible metamorphosis of an international student after experiencing a year in a foreign country. By translating abstract and invisible changings into representative images, colors and music, the audience can easily find a new way to redefine and review how a person develops his/her own internal world in a positive way. This project will generate a feeling of hope for the audience, especially for people who are currently experiencing life in a foreign country and it will encourage them to overcome difficulties and celebrate their lives as being a foreigner.
